Registering domains with us is easy! Simply follow the steps below.
Ensure your account is funded. You can do this by paying to our UBA account or funding it through your Interswitch ATM card.

Open domains .com.ng, .org.ng, .name.ng, .mobi.ng costs N1, 500.00.
Registration of Closed domains .gov.ng, .net.ng, .sch.ng, .edu.ng, .mil.ng require authentication. Contact us for more information.
Check for the availability of the domain you want to register
Indicate the number of years you are registering for (mandatory)
Register your details, a password and username will be sent to your email account
Click on the payment method which is via Interswitch or Bank balance
If you are paying through Interswitch, enter your card number and four digit pin
Pay for the domain, check the button 'I agree' and check out. You can then log in to your control panel where you can manage your domain.
Transfer of domains for now is a manual process; Contact us for transfer of your domains.
Please note that registrants are advised not to register premium names. Premium names are generic everyday words that no one can claim rights to, like; go, buy, fly, web, marine, etc. NIRA's rule generally is one word or at most a combination of two generic words, make up 'premium' names. For instance combinations of two generic words like marinefly, smartexecutives are premium. Premium names will be auctioned by NIRA through a competitive bidding process to interested applicants. However, NIRA has promised to release premium names in their Premium List which will be made available to all soon.
